The BingQiu Reverse Minibang is a bang event where an artist comes up with a conceptual sketch. A writer will then be matched to the artist, and write a fic based on their partners' art.

Guidelines and Rules
Artists
Minimum: detailed, clean sketch on unlined paper
Maximum: flat color/comic panel/fully rendered
Your work must be entirely original and new, never posted before this. You will also need to come up with a pitch, describing the concept and AU behind your drawing, and any ideas you have for the story. Your writer's fic will be short, so keep this in mind when coming up with your ideas. If your idea is a massive, all-encompassing AU, this is fine! Just remember that your writer will likely only write one scene from it.
Writers
Minimum: 700 words
Maximum: 3,500 words (give or take 500)
Your work will be based on your artist's piece. To remain within the maximum word count, this will likely be only one scene—even if the overall concept behind the art indicates a longer story.
Rules
All work must be yours. Plagiarism, tracing, and any other form of copying are not allowed.
Absolutely no AI generated content will be permitted for this event.
Do not post your piece before the posting dates, or discuss/share it outside of the event discord.

What is a bang?
A bang, often big bang, is an event where writers create a fic, and artists are paired with them to make art based on the fic. A reverse bang is the opposite: artists come up with an idea, and writers write a fic based on it. A mini bang simply refers to the expected word count being lower than that of a big bang.
What content is allowed in this event?
The focus of your piece must be bingqiu. Other characters may be involved, and background ships may be included. But the primary characters must be Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu (Shen Yuan).Poly ships involving Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu will not be allowed.Potentially sensitive or dead dove content must be accurately labeled.
What happens if I go over the maximum word count?
The precise word count is flexible by 500 words, give or take. The fic written must contain the scene(s) depicted in the artist's concept sketch.If you feel inspired to add more to your fic and/or go way beyond the maximum word count, what you post on your posting day must be no longer than the maximum word count +/- 500 words, contain the artist's scene, and be able to stand alone as a fic. At the end of the posting period, you're more than welcome to add the rest of the fic as a mutli-part/multi-chapter fic.
Can I make more than one piece of art?
We can hardly stop you from drawing more—nor would we want to! However, if you create muliple pieces/scenes for the same concept/AU/story, your paired writer will only write one fic for one of the scenes.
What happens if I need to drop out?
We get it, life gets in the way. If you can no longer participate in the event, please just let us know as soon as possible, so we can assign a pinch hitter to your partner. You won't need to give any justification or explanation. But it is far better to let us know than to go silent.
